  • 200 grams of Paneer – cut in 1.5 cms cubes
  • medium onion, finely chopped
  • a few tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 & ½ tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 tea spoon Garlic paste
  • 4 table spoon butter
  • 1 table spoon vegetable oil
  • 3 to 4 cloves
  • coriander leaves
  • a few dried red chilli
  • tea spoon red chilli powder
  • 1 table spoon coriander powder
  • small amount of turmeric powder
  • 1 table spoon thick fresh cream

    Indian Butter Paneer Masala, a bright orange-colored smooth and creamy and light buttery flavored North Indian food, every vegetarian food lovers will love this tasty curry. Butter paneer masala which is also known as Kadai paneer in India. This food is very much popular in the north Indian area.

    1, Heat 1 tbsp oil with 2 tbsp butter in a pan, add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon, broken whole red chillies, half of the crushed coriander seed and sauté them for ½ a minute   till they are golden in colour.

    2,Then add chopped onion and stir for another ½ a min and add the ginger, garlic paste and fry for ½ a min and add chilli, coriander and turmeric powders and fry for a min. Finally add the chopped tomatoes and fry till the oil separates. Remove from heat, allow it to cool, discard the bay leaves and make it into a paste using a blender.

    3,Now again heat the remaining butter in a deep pan or wok add the pureed paste, add salt to taste and fry for 2 minutes on a medium flame. Stir in the sliced paneer, add half a cup of water and the remaining crushed coriander, and cover cook on low flame for 5 minutes.

    4,Remove from heat and let it rest for 2 minutes then mix cream gently, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with Nan (Indian flat bread) or nay other bread.
